Extend C Drive Windows 2003 Diskpart

You can run Diskpart.exe utility to extend a NTFS data volume on Windows Server 2003, but Diskpart.exe utility cannot help extend an FAT partition or C partition (system partition). If C drive is running out of disk space on Windows Server 2003, you may find that you cannot extend the partition by running Diskpart.exe utility. Is there any other way to extend C drive on Windows Server 2003?

Windows 2003 Partition Magic for C Drive Extending
Since Diskpart utility cannot extend a C drive and FAT32 partition, you can rely on partition magic software to extend C drive when it is lacking of free disk space on Windows Server 2003. You can use partition software to extend C drive no matter it is NTFS file system or FAT32 file system. This partition magic enables you to extend C drive on Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows SBS 2003 and almost all other Windows Servers without touching the disk data. Partition software is completely safe and reliable for all Windows Server users.

Diskpart Fails to Extend C Drive on Windows Server 2003
"C drive is running low on my Windows Server 2003. The hard disk drive has about 80GB free space, so I tried to run Diskpart utility to extend C drive. However, I got an error message that the selected volume cannot be extended. There is free space on my hard disk, and the free space is right adjacent to C drive. But I don’t know why Diskpart utility fails to extend C drive on my Windows Server 2003. I hope somebody can give me some advice if you also ran into the same or similar problem before. Thanks for you kind help."

"The C drive on my Windows Server 2003 is too small to install any software, and it is slowing down my computer. I have tried all cleaning stuff such as disk cleanup, removing cookies, etc, but it didn’t help much at all. I also tried to delete and move some unimportant files, but the C drive is still too small. Then, I tried to run Diskpart command to extend the C drive, but I found that Diskpart command cannot extend my C drive. Is there any other method?"

Windows Server 2003 Extend C Drive without Diskpart
If Diskpart utility fails to extend C drive on Windows Server 2003, third-party partition software can take place of Diskpart command to help extend C drive in a more effective and efficient way. This partition magic software enables you to extend C drive on Windows Server 2003 without repartitioning hard disk or rebooting your computer. It will not touch the disk data or have any influence on operating system during partition resizing.

Why Diskpart Fails to Extend Windows Server 2003 C Drive?
Diskpart command has the function of extending partition on Windows Server 2003, but why do you fail to extend C drive?
1.       Diskpart can only extend data volume. Usually, C drive is also system partition, so Diskpart command fails to extend C drive since system programs are installed on this drive.
2.       Diskpart can only extend NTFS partition. Even it is data volume, Diskpart command will fail to extend the partition if it is not NTFS file system.
3.       Unallocated space is needed on the same hard disk. You should ensure that there is unallocated space on the same hard disk. In addition, the unallocated space must be adjacent to the partition you want to extend.
